The Stables of Como

Last friday we visited The Stables of Comoalso known as ‘the Stables’ in South Yarra, Melbourne. Entering via the beautiful heritage listed Como house grounds, the charming Stables sits out the back of the property. Greeted by the simple white exterior, the inside is a delight for the eyes with cakes, lemonade scones, savouries and an assortment of sweets beautifully displayed on a mint green counter top.

I will be coming back soon to try a spot of high tea, and when the warmer months come along, to try out a picnic hamper.

Inspired by: Alter

No one likes going to the dentist, but my recent visit to Park St. Dental was made just that little less intimidating thanks to Melbourne based design studio, Alter. Their clever bright sophisticated branding and contemporary fit-out for Park St Dental is certainly refreshing for a medical brand. With subtle neon signage as you walk in, and pops of fluorescent green through out the surgery,  Alter has nailed the whole branding package.

Glamping: Great Ocean Road, Victoria

This time last week, we  made a last minute decision to head out of Melbourne to The Great Ocean Road for a bit of R&R long weekend. We stayed in a luxury tent at Pebble Point bush retreat, nestled behind the 12 Apostles in small coastal village of Princetown, approximately two and a half hours from Melbourne.

We visited the stunning Otway Fly Treetop Walk, did a spot of bush walking near Pebble Point and saw the amazing 12 Apostles at sunrise.
