When I was in New York in September this year, I was delighted to discover Wayne Thiebaud‘s artwork at the Whitney muesum. I love he’s use of bright colours for highlights and thick paint strokes that look like delicious layers of icing. I couldn’t resist buying this print of ‘pie encounter‘ for my kitchen.
I love Brooklyn based illustrator and print maker, Jing Wei’s playful and weathered illustrations – a look created by woodblock printing. Jing Wei has done work for the likes of Chronicle Books, Etsy, McSweeney’s, Momofuku, New York Times and The New Yorker just to name a few!
