Sherbrooke Forrest, Dandenong Ranges

Winter is certainly here with chilly mornings making it hard to get out of bed. But yesterday we managed to brave the chill and take a short 45 minute drive from Melbourne to the pristine Sherbrooke Forrest. Situated within the Dandenong Ranges, the forrest was filled with crisp morning fog, giant moss covered mountain ash trees and the surround sound of birds of all kinds.

After our walk we stopped into the nearby Burnham Bakery & Piggery Cafe for some lunch and maybe a slice of cake.
