Lately: Grey days a plenty with winter settling in, making a quick lunch for a lazy sunday, keeping cosy on the couch with soup and knitting, coffee at an old favourite, Market Lane, smiling at birds keeping warm on wintry old Melbourne day and loving Frankie’s Spaces.

Watching a sunset outside my window whilst knitting on the couch this afternoon. What are you up to? Hope you are enjoying a relaxing Saturday afternoon. Happy weekend!
So there was another reason why I wanted to learn how to knit. Since January I’ve been secretly learning how to knit two tiny baby beanie’s so I could give both my sister Simone and my close friend Erin a special hand made gift for their new little ones.
Finally last week I packed my bags along with finished beanies and made a sneaky visit back to Perth. I surprised Simone at her baby shower on Saturday and then on Sunday to surprise Erin just only a few hours after coming home from the hospital to meet her newbie, Miss Abigail Louise. Abigail came into the world at 2.22am on Sunday the 17th March. She couldn’t be any more perfect. Well done Erin and can’t wait to make another visit back to Perth to meet my nephew.
This week was a rather relaxing one – continuing with my knitting and still loving it, a wonderful new recipe discovery thanks to Jamie Oliver’s 15 minute meals cook book, a coffee from my old favourite Market Lane, an after work drive to Ricketts Point Beach – even though it’s not the same the beach I know back home it was still good to smell the ocean air again and a good old Pimms to start the Australia Day long weekend!
