Easter is a great time to visit Perth as most locals are out of town. If the sun is shining, you’re more than likely to have most of the beach to yourself. This easter, Perth didn’t let us down, greeting us with two glorious sky blue days and the perfect excuse to check out City Beach.
With help again from Mark, here’s his last US/Canada post for the breath taking Moraine Lake, Canada.
When we first started planning for our US trip, Canada was barely on the long list. It made the shortlist only due to it’s proximity to Portland. And when the final list was decided and we were still hungry for the maple country, we had barely even considered what we might do once we arrived.
For the Canada part of our 2015 holiday I’ll hand over the writing again to my hubby Mark. For previous posts on our awesome holiday click here.
As it is our fifth year in Melbourne you could forgive us for bragging occasionally about just how special our adopted city really is. Melbourne consistently ranks in the top 5 for most liveable city in the world, and it is, well just great – in every way a city could be great (except for beaches). But if we ever had a nemesis, a challenger to that ‘liveable crown’, that nemesis would be Vancouver.
I couldn’t help but have the Portlandia theme song repeating over and over in my head as we cruised into the ultra cool city of Portland, Oregon.
As we made our way from Portland airport, our super friendly Uber driver enthusiastically told us that Alberta Arts District was an awesome neighbourhood, and lucky, because that would be our home for the next four days. He gave us advice as to what to check out and after dropping our bags off at our AirBnB we went out to explore the neighbourhood.
Just a little post-spring cleaning to keep your eyes entertained. Have been wanting to update Sunday Best for a little while but due to all sorts of reasons, it’s taken me a while to get to it.
Not a revolution, just a small evolution, hope you like the fresh new look!
