Modern macramé by Sally England

Headboard for Room 420 in ACE Hotel, Portland, Oregon by Sally England
I love theses incredible wall hangings from fibers artist Sally England. Sally applies her own modern macramé style to plant holders, room dividers and large wall hangings, also creating commissioned works for clients such as Nike and ACE Hotel.

See more of her amazing work over at her website here.

  1. Love, love, love Sally’s fiber art. It is so nice to see macrame making a come back in the design world. It is also great to see ancient knotting techniques used in innovative ways. There is so much more to macrame than the owl of the 70’s. My husband is a macrame jewelry artist. If you would like to check out his work, please visit http://rumisumaq.com/

  2. I’m obsessed with macrame and weaving, I want to learn how to do it! I fell in love with some wall hangings at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, maybe they were Sally’s.
