After discovering a new knitting shop, Morris and Sons in my lunch hour last week and spending quite a long time strolling through the shop fascinated by all the colourful balls of wool, I thought it might be time to finally learn how to knit.
Though Morris and Sons have classes, I also happily discovered via chats over email that one of my friends Jess knew how to knit. So, equipped with my brand new ball wool, knitting needles and my class payment (in the form of double choc brownies) I headed to Jess’ house this weekend for a free lesson in the basics of knitting.
Thanks to my wonderful teacher, I have since then been knitting like crazy. It’s fair to say that it’s become an addiction.
If you’re interested in learning, Morris and Sons offer 3 stage knitting classes in Melbourne and Sydney, find out more here.
