Hoping you all have a lovely relaxing weekend! I’ll be immersing myself in an all weekend ceramics workshop, thanks to my lovely husband treating me to an early birthday present today.
Today we bathed gloriously in the first sweet smelling sunny day of spring in Melbourne. And my oh my, what a spectacular introduction it was. Fingers crossed it is a sign of an amazing spring to come. Of course those in Melbourne you know full well not to put away the heavy knits yet. Here’s cheers to fresh flowers and a beautiful weekend.
On friday we celebrated three years of living in the fabulous city of Melbourne. We were both lucky enough to have the day off to adventure around our favourite suburbs and eat our way through the culinary delights that Melbourne constantly surprises us with. We discovered new places as well as visited some old favourites. Really it’s unbelievable that another year has wizzed by since this post. Below are some memories over the past three years.
So there was another reason why I wanted to learn how to knit. Since January I’ve been secretly learning how to knit two tiny baby beanie’s so I could give both my sister Simone and my close friend Erin a special hand made gift for their new little ones.
Finally last week I packed my bags along with finished beanies and made a sneaky visit back to Perth. I surprised Simone at her baby shower on Saturday and then on Sunday to surprise Erin just only a few hours after coming home from the hospital to meet her newbie, Miss Abigail Louise. Abigail came into the world at 2.22am on Sunday the 17th March. She couldn’t be any more perfect. Well done Erin and can’t wait to make another visit back to Perth to meet my nephew.
Spending a lot of time walking down this long beautiful pathway to a beautiful little beach. More photos tomorrow, for now I’m off to bed with sea salt in my hair. Ah summer, you’ve been good to us this year.
